On 29–30 August 2025, we will take on the full 147 km Tom Crean Dingle Peninsula Challenge—24 hours of walking, running, cycling, hiking, kayaking and a wild swim—all starting and finishing at the Aquadome in Tralee. Every euro you raise goes directly to SADS – Dillon Quirke Foundation, Recovery Haven (Kerry), Kerry Cancer Support Group, Down Syndrome (Kerry), Jack and Jill Foundation (Kerry) and other local charities. In four years, our community has donated €235,000—now it’s our turn to smash the target! Cheer us on: sponsor a kilometre, back our effort and give what you can. Let’s show what we can achieve for Kerry!
The 24-hour challenge will kick off at 9pm on Friday, 29th August. Starting from the Aqua Dome (Tralee), we will walk the Dingle Way to Inch Beach, covering 30km. From there, we will cycle 33km to Páidi Ó Shea’s pub in Ventry, followed by an 8.5km jog over the mountain to Tig Áine’s restaurant near Cloghers beach. The journey continues with a 21km cycle to the Mount Brandon Trailhead, followed by a 11km hike across the Mt. Brandon (963mt) range and descent to Faha car park near Cloghán village. We will then be transported to Cloghan Church where it is back on our bikes, the next leg takes us on a 21.5km cycle to the Junction Bar for some refreshments before a 3km jog to Derrymore Beach. This is followed by the penultimate leg of a 5km kayak to Fenit. The final 12.5km takes us onto the wonderful greenway, branching off at the Spa to take the coastal route to the canal and our finishing point at the Aqua Dome. The challenge will culminate at 9pm on Saturday, 30st August, after covering a total distance of 145km (90 miles). Download our PDF brochure of the event
